The Initiations A and B classes are designed for true beginners and tackle the fundamental elements of speaking English as a second language. Students of the Initiations courses will become competent in understanding dialogue and written aspects of English when they take the ESL New York course. Students will be able to greet other people and have conversations using the basic present tense. They will have an understanding of simple spelling and be able to describe people and things, using adjectives such as color or other basic descriptions. Students will also be able to pose questions and understand the basic rules of the language.

The Motivations A and B courses taught in our ESL New York class are designed for students who have already mastered the basics of the English Language. Using these basics, these courses build upon that foundation and help students achieve solid understanding of dialogue, reading, listening and writing. Using skills learned in the Initiations courses students will continue their mastery of English. Students will be able to understand past and present tense, and will be able to distinguish regular and irregular verbs.

The In Motion A and B courses are designed for students who are ready to understand the finer details of English. Written and spoken ideas involving the nuances of tense and mood are explored. Students will be able to carry out detailed conversations and readings regarding subjects such as cultural differences between the United States and their country of origin. Students will also be able to discuss quantities of objects and abilities.

The campus is central to world famous attractions such as Coney Island where the rich and famous spend summer holidays. A trip across the Brooklyn Bridge gives students access to explore New York city and experience wonderful food, shopping and entertainment.
